The First National Conference of Diabetes in Pregnancy Study Group India was organized on 11 and 12 February 2006 at Chennai. The conference provided an excellent platform to interact with the experts in the field of obstetrics, diabetology, pediatrics and internal medicine. Over 1000 delegates from India and other neighboring countries participated in the conference and it had an overwhelming response. The abstract volume of the conference was published.
The Guidelines for Gestational Diabetes Mellitus was formed and published in the Journal of Association of Physicians of India.
